Netflix is taking us back to the world of Thra, more than 30 years after Jim Henson captured our imaginations with The Dark Crystal.

The streaming network has ordered a 10-episode prequel series to the beloved film, titled The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. Sure, it might sound more like a Transformers movie than a Henson fable, but we'll take what we can get. 

Set years before the events of the original movie, Age of Resistance follows three Gelfling — a gentle race played entirely by animatronic puppets in the original — who discover the horrifying secret behind the Skeksis’ power and set out on an epic journey to ignite the fires of rebellion and save their world.  Read more...
