The president who just weeks ago was crowing about his "tremendous respect for women" has now reportedly put the kibosh on a program the Obamas started to promote education for girls in the developing world.

On Monday afternoon, CNN reported that Trump's administration would be putting an end to "Let Girls Learn," a U.S.-led global "initiative to ensure adolescent girls get the education they deserve." The initiative brought the Peace Corps, USAID and other governmental organizations together "to address the range of challenges preventing adolescent girls from attaining a quality education that empowers them to reach their full potential."
