Imgur user SharkswithFrigginLazerBeams shared his friend’s story that had been eleven years in the making (or should we say baking?) to the delight of netizens everywhere.
The friend, who remained unnamed, lives in a gated community, and his neighbors are older, mostly Caucasian folks who “don’t have a lot of exposure to non-whites“. His mother is Japanese/Portuguese and his father is Swedish/German, and his friend described him as an “enormous Mexican if you don’t think about it“.
This mixed ancestry seemed to confuse the mostly homogeneous neighborhood, prompting residents to ask him questions like “‘Sir, can I help you?’, ‘Do you live here?’ or ‘Do you realize you’re trespassing?’” while out walking his dogs. Even though he lived on the same street with these people for over a decade, he’d still receive visits from security guards who would appear with complaints about stolen mail.
After 11 years, he finally found the person responsible for the calls to HOA security and decided to take matters into his own hands, crafting and delivering the most passive-aggressive cake the perpetrator had probably ever seen.
Surprisingly, the neighbor was not placated by this delicious message and decided to write one of her own – unfortunately, hers was inedible and was also very homophobic (“he is not straight, but lowkey about it”), not once apologizing for all the nastiness she had inflicted upon him for the past decade. The line in the frosting had been drawn – she would not back down from her spiteful ways.
This, in turn, prompted OP’s friend to “embrace his newfound, externally-imposed heritage” and deliver a sweet, sweet blow straight to her mailbox.
Netizens loved the story, believing this woman got her just desserts.
