‘REPENT & ACCEPT GOD’S PUNISHMENT’ FOR CALLING ROSMAH OBESE: UMNO-BN SYCOPHANTS LASH OUT AT DR MAHATHIR
Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad insulted plus-sized women during his speech in Jitra, recently.
The video of his speech then went viral on social media.
“I do not take bribes. You shouldn’t give me anything. Everyone knows I eat a little. That’s why I’m skinny.
“I don’t want to be fat like some poeple. Like the wife of some people. That my ‘gearbox’ becomes lopsided when walking,” he said.
Without specifically mentioning any individual, Dr Mahathir insisted that no one should try to give him bribes in the form of money, food or projects.
“What I want is for him to resign,” he said, pointedly referring to the resignation of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
His speech that was broadcasted live on the opposition’s YouTube account received various reactions from the netizens and most of Dr Mahathir’s supporters agreed with what he said.
However, there were also those who criticised and claimed that the PPPBM chairman did not realise that during his 22 year reign as Prime Minister, corruption and money politics was widespread.
“TDM (Tun Dr Mahathir)… Malaysians who are still sane really hope that you would stop spreading slanderous lies and trying to incite us. It’s sickening; it’s always the same thing that you repeat.
“(You have) no other issue to talk about. Kleptocracy, 1MDB, selling the country to China. It was bad as well during TDM’s time; people suffered under a dictator leader. Pot calling the kettle black,” Silok 60 said.
Agreeing with Silok 60, Ahmad Asyraf said the cronisme practice during Dr Mahathir’s leadership was worse than during Najib’s time.
“Najib does not slander and spread seditious lies like Mahathir,” Ahmad Asyraf said.
Meanwhile, Ice Man asked Dr Mahathir to “repent and accept God’s punishment.”
Dr Mahathir’s corrupt practices were exposed by Pandan member of Parliament (MP) Rafizi Ramli when the former Prime Minister was still in UMNO, but after he joined the opposition, Rafizi no longer questioned his corrupt practices.
Rafizi said that he does not believe Dr Mahathir and his children got rich from the savings from his Prime Minister’s salary for 22 years.
He added, the nett salary received by Dr Mahathir is less than RM13,000 and after deducting the expenses on six children, with RM1,000 each, and RM2,000 for the expenses of his wife, Tun Dr Siti Hasmah, the balance is RM5,000.
And after deducting monthly expenses of RM2,000, Dr Mahathir only has RM3,000 left for savings.
“A year is RM36,000. 10 years is RM360,000. 20 years is RM720,000. If he saved every sen for 22 years, the most he could save was RM750,000.
“It is impossible he has the wealth that he has now, his children becoming millionaires and known throughout the world if he did not take bribes,” he insisted.
